Glossary CSMA
CSMA/CD
CSMA is a protocol that makes communication devices listen to the network for transmissions that are already being made before transmission is attempted. This prevents transmissions from being made simultaneously. If another rtransmission is in the way, it backs off for a certain amount of time before transmitting again.
