For example, they can let a caller know when you&#8217;ll next be available. Your business hours don&#8217;t affect how your calls are handled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Can I have calls handled differently at different times?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. How your calls are handled is set by your call-handling instructions, not your business hours. To handle calls differently at different times of day, contact our Client Services Team to set up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.answerconnect.com\/help-center\/glossary\/what-is-time-of-day-scripting\/\">time-based scripting<\/a>. For example, you might want your receptionists to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Follow your normal script during the day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take a message or transfer calls differently in the evening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give different instructions on weekends or holidays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I change my business hours?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. You can update your business hours in the <a href=\"https:\/\/my.answerconnect.app\/\">AnswerConnect app<\/a>. Keeping them up to date helps ensure the information your receptionists provide to callers reflects your current opening hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.answerconnect.com\/help-center\/app\/change-business-hours\/\">Learn how to change your business hours.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> Updating your business hours in the app does <strong>not<\/strong> automatically change how your calls are handled during or outside those hours. If you want calls to follow different instructions depending on the time of day, you&#8217;ll need to contact our Client Services Team to update your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.answerconnect.com\/help-center\/glossary\/what-is-time-of-day-scripting\/\">time-based scripting<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Closing for a holiday?<\/strong> Set a holiday closure instead of changing your regular hours.
