For our receptionists to start taking your calls, you need to set up call forwarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have an established phone number you\u2019d like to keep, you can forward it to the one we provide. That way, your callers can still dial the same number they always have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The available features and procedures for forwarding your calls depend on your network provider and may differ for landline and mobile numbers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can use this page to guide you through common types of call forwarding and show you how to activate them with most major carriers.

Standard call forwarding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you want to forward all your calls, all the time, you usually dial *72 or 72# (again, depending on your carrier), then enter the number you want to forward your calls to (this will be the local or toll-free number we provide). Generally, this can be deactivated with *73 or 73#.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Busy call forwarding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Maybe you only want to forward your calls to us when your main line is busy. For that, most carriers use *90 or 90# to activate and *91 or 91# to deactivate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No-answer call forwarding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To forward your calls when you don\u2019t answer after a specified number of rings, use *92 or 92# to activate and *93 or 93# to deactivate. Contact your carrier to set the number of rings your callers will hear before the call is forwarded. We recommend two rings – why make people wait?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scheduled call forwarding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Set a schedule for call forwarding. You can choose to direct calls based on the days of the week and even by specific times of the day. Or, you can add an IVR to your AnswerConnect account and build the schedule into that system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To set up a more customized call forwarding schedule, check with your phone carrier – most will be able to accommodate you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
