Once you’ve signed up, your AnswerConnect service is live straight away. This article walks you through what happens next, how onboarding works, and how to get the most from your service from day one.

Your account is live immediately

As soon as your payment is completed:

  • Your account is active
  • Your basic message script is live
  • You can start forwarding calls right away

With the default setup, we’ll collect the following information from callers:

  • Caller name
  • Phone number
  • Message

Messages are delivered to the email address on your account and are also available in the AnswerConnect desktop and mobile app.

What is onboarding (and why it matters)

Onboarding is a one-on-one setup call where we tailor the service to your business.

Your service starts with a basic message template. During your onboarding call, we will customize your script to tailor how we answer and handle your calls, unlocking the full value of AnswerConnect.

During your onboarding call, we can:

Onboarding calls typically last 60 minutes. The majority of the setup is completed during the call, with any remaining customizations finished shortly afterward. 

A basic message-taking script can be set up in as little as five minutes.

How to book your onboarding call

You’ll receive an email shortly after signup inviting you to book your onboarding appointment.

Book your onboarding call as soon as possible. This ensures your service is set up exactly how you want before call volume increases.

What to have ready for onboarding

To make the most of your onboarding call, it helps to have:

  • Your business address and contact details
  • Preferred contact email(s)
  • Names of team members or key contacts
  • Call transfer schedules (if applicable)
  • Up to 5 common questions callers usually ask
